Reformation

With Reformation coming up. It’s.a good time to reflect about what happened on the 31st of October in 1517.  A small group of catholic monks under the leadership of Martin Luther also supported by groups of reformers in other European countries took a stand against some of the misinterpretations of the Bible by the Catholic Church. They revealed their strong  stand against the Catholic Church selling endulgences which they claimed to be a ticket out of purgatory a cleansing fire between earth and heaven

The church had used the Bible and even twisted the truth to their a vantage in order to ,sie money tray the clergy and to build more impressive cathedrals toshow case their power.

The pope was fifth in charge after the son and the Holy Spirit and Maria.

This and may other misconceptions that the Catholic Church followed made the young month with a  critical and searching mind find the truth. A direct relationship with no interdecessor is possible. One can talk to God in a ‘I to you’relationship. not first having to drag Mary along all the time 

He is our creator savior and comforter. Reformation means to te-form and re-shape. This does not say that the Protestors (Protrstants) wanted a  turn their back on the church they just wanted a slight change that would not cost anything but was like a spike in the whelk of the churchh. Their flow of income would stop and that would prevent them from expanding and filling pockets of the priests 

The Reformation changed the history and culture of the  church profoundly.  The name Luther was use for the church and was and is still growing. With Jesus in the Lead. 

Our church is the instrument of mission work so more people can learn about the truth that Jesus loves  them. He even loves you with all your faults just as you are.
