Peace in the storm

Frustration, anger, irritation, fear, grief and negativity is hard to avoid in these times. How do we react to the world out there? Do we become part of the angry crowds? Do we start falling apart inside OR are we ignoring the news. Believing that it’s not true thinking it’s just all fake? -This is where children of God turn to the Bible and to prayer for wisdom. God does not leave the world when things look terribly chaotic. God is in it with us. He could change everything in a blink of an eye like he calmed the storm, but if He doesn’t after many prayers, it does not mean that He abandons us. Jesus promises us that He will never forsake us. He even prayed for all future believers to be protected before he was taken as prisoner by the soldiers in the Garden Gethsemane. He also told us to be very careful to know which spirit is ruling. - Currently the spirit of doubt, chaos and fear is being spread  by propaganda and causes even Christians to argue about opening or not opening church services. That should not be a question. The physical health of the people is key and should be respected. Spiritual care can be given on a one on one basis and by video church. Families can watch together and pray together. For lonely, single people a 24/7 prayer line should be available so they can request someone to pray for them. This is a time of spiritual warfare as seldomly before and needs to be acknowledged as such. We need to prepare ourselves every day by wearing the armor of God and we need to be in constant prayer with our best friend and saviour who is in this with us, until the day when He will return to take His true children with him into the glory of Heaven. Be strong in Him as He is in you. - Lord Jesus, another Sunday has begun with the whole world being torn apart by sickness, sadness and fear. Give us a steady heart as we walk through the storm with you and know that you have a reason for the storm to continue until you will calm it. Give us your inner strength and peace of heart and mind as we enter the new day and a new week to continue with your spirit of love, jou, peace, patience, friendliness, kindness, faith, humbleness and purify . -Love and prayers to you all.
